Natural Therapy Services and Practitioners

.... this is a "work in progress" as our team-members develop their information...

Non-Surgical Facelift:

Qi-Beauty

Kathy Pedersen has developed the WORLD'S first "take it home" all natural, non injection-based skin repair system.
Based on Dr Peter Pedersen's absolute best acupuncture "face-lift" points, this process increases deep circulation and collagen production without any side effects. You are invited to visit her web site at qibeauty.com.au or just pop into the clinic, watch the video and buy the kit for $90.

Naturopath & Herbalist:

Monique Menard is an old fashioned Naturopath

She is primarily a liquid (extracts and tinctures) herbalist who prefers to tailor a client's remedy to their specific needs. She believes that every client is unique and this should be reflected in their treatment protocol. Monique uses an extensive interview process and takes the time to fully appreciate each client's condition and the factors that have lead to the creation of their particular complaint.

Old fashioned in her approach to client care but modern in her approach to the resolution of illness, Monique treats all conditions with conscientious attention to detail. She has had outstanding results with chronic fatigue, diabetes, hormonal issues, digestive tract complaints and long term chronic ailments.

Originally from Canada, Monique has been in Australia since 1998 and is a certified reflexologist.

Further, she has an Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy, diplomas in both Herbal Medicine and Nutrition plus a Bachelor Degree in Complementary Medicine. Monique currently lectures at the Australian College of Natural Medicine in Southport.

Acupuncture:

Rex Hall. Japanese acupuncture. Great results. That's all you need to know! But if you need to know more... Rex is a veritable master of his profession.

We have had many acupuncturists in our practice over the past 30 years and without any hestitaion we nominate Rex as the all-time-best.

Physiotherapy:

Our wonderful physio, Sarie Kessler is taking excellent care of the lower limb biomechancs/orthotics side of things as well as having a special interest in exercise physiology.

More info on Biomechancs / Orthotics

Massage:

Helen Casey does all sorts of massage. My goodness...she does great massage! She has had 10 years experience and her massage reflects all sorts of wonderful skills.

She is available by appointment every day including Sunday.

Remedial Massage:

Chrissie Gray joined our team in August 2006 and is already gaining a legion of fans. She has Private Health Fund coverage for all funds and her massage/lymphatic drainage is to die for.

If you are stressed and possessed of tight and tense muscles...

Sports Massage:

Our resident sports-injury specialist team member is Tamara McPhan.
She has several diplomas and a truely powerful technique. Tamara is well versed in all sports injuries and loves to treat athletes, dancers and will even lend her skills to weekend warriors.

Last Note from Dr Pedersen:

The Sydney College of Chiropractic/Osteopathy provided an excellent educational environment for many students in the 50's, 60's and 70's.

My final year (1977) was also the beginning of the end for SCC/O as the college was absorbed into Macquarie University not long after.

By (about) 1981 it was all over for the independant education of chiros/osteos. My sincere thanks to the few who gave so much to the many.

The lecturers who had lousy conditions and gave their all, the administrators and council who sacrificed thousands of hours of their own time to ensure that standards were met (surpassed), the staff who worked more for love than money...the excellence of our profession was set by your dedication.

Special thanks to:

Drs Gary Stavrou, Ronald Flint, Helene Knox, George Portelli and our departed and greatly missed, Mal Henningham and Bernard Lyle.
